UC-CSU KAN Awarded Two-Year Grant

A constituent project of the Orfalea Center’s EJ/CJ Hub, the UC-CSU Knowledge Action Network (UC-CSU KAN), was recently awarded a grant by the UC Carbon Neutrality Initiative for upgrading and expanding the UC-CSU KAN Digital Platform. The two-year, $128,000 grant will also be used to scale-up faculty engagement and climate education resources in support of the University of California’s Carbon Neutrality Initiative. This exciting opportunity was made possible through participation in the KAN initiative by EJ/CJ Hub co-convener David Pellow and members Ken Hiltner and Summer Gray; the grant writing work of EJ/CJ Hub Co-Convener John Foran; and invaluable consultation by EJ/CJ Co-Convener Richard Widick.

Looking forward, the work at UC-CSU KAN will be foregrounding the efforts of the Orfalea Center’s EJ/CJ Hub by featuring the EJ/CJ Digital Hub as a centralized source for UC Climate Scholarship.
