Research Project
Civilian Control after Coups
Research Description
I am conducting a cross national time series analysis to determine what helps states maintain civilian control after a long history of military coups. I currently am looking at polarization as the independent variable. This is the first part of my three part dissertation. The second part will be a case study of Turkey that analyzes the mechanisms qualitatively by looking at the history of Turkey before and after the election of Erdogan.
