Mark Juergensmeyer was director of the Orfalea Center for Global & International Studies from its founding in 2005 until June 2014. He is a faculty member of Department of Global & International Studies, and is professor of sociology as well as affiliate professor of religious studies, at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
